My Story

This year, my sisters and I are taking on the challenge of the Rome Marathon, not just for the thrill of the run, but to raise funds and awareness for VICTA – a charity that has played an incredible role in my life.

VICTA is a charity that supports children and young adults who are blind or partially sighted and their families. Their work is transformative, providing grants, advice, and guidance for those facing the challenges of living with a visual disability.

Having been supported by VICTA in the past, I know firsthand the impact their services can have, and now as an ambassador for VICTA, I’ve seen the positive changes they create and how important fundraising is to continue their vital work. That’s why my sisters and I decided to run the Rome Marathon in support of this incredible charity, which enables young people and their families to build skills, develop confidence and independence.

Running this marathon is about more than just crossing a finish line – it’s about giving back to a charity that has made such a difference in my life and ensuring that others continue to receive that same support. When you have a cause as meaningful as VICTA, it makes every mile worth it, and with each step reminding us of the children and families who will benefit from VICTA’s support. Donations to our fundraising campaign will directly aid VICTA’s work, ensuring that more children and families get the advice, assistance and resources they need.

It’s a journey of determination and a chance to make a difference.
